Rain on our parades! Jubilee parties in disarray in Long Eaton

Today the street parties for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations were due to begin in earnest in Long Eaton, but the weather has caused problems.

A wet bank holiday has caused problems for the street parties in Long Eaton
It has persisted it down all day, resulting in people having to shelter indoors and in some cases, cancel or postpone street parties.
A few parties will take place on Tuesday, weather willing, and we hope to be able to post some pictures of happy revellers by Tuesday evening.
Whatever you are doing this Bank Holiday weekend, I hope you are having fun and keeping dry.
