  Those of you who have been visiting Long Eaton People for a while may remember how fed up I was a few months back when after about a year of waiting, we were finally told that the Olympic Torch would be travelling from Nottingham to Derby via Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton and not Long Eaton.   Monday 02/04/12 I will be Sleeping out overnight in Long Eaton Town centre along with the Mayor, Our MP, the leader of the council and other like minded folk. The aim is to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless and to raise much needed funds for the Canaan Trust who work to limrove the lives for the homeless.
