AN out-of-school club has been judged "good" by inspectors.

Dovedale Before and After School Club in Long Eaton was visited by Ofsted in early December.

In the report, which has just been released, it was given a good rating in all areas.

Among the areas highlighted for praise were the way children's needs were met and the way staff promoted health and safety.

The report added that it could become "outstanding" with better self-evaluation.

Inspector Sue Riley said: "Teaching methods are strong and support children in making good progress towards the early learning goals.

"Individual assessments are undertaken on each early years' child and this is reflected in planning."
